We recognize that anything worth having takes hard work (GRIT), and we are grateful to have been given another chance to overcome substance use and mental health challenges to reach our life goals by the (GRACE) placed in our lives.
GRIT & Grace Addiction Recovery Support Center (ARSC) is a non-profit organization committed to making transformations through recovery, counseling, education, peer support, and providing resources to individuals [of the recovery community] so they can be returned back as valuable members of the community, walking in their purpose and divine destiny.
WHAT IS AN ARSC?
ADDICTION RECOVERY SUPPORT CENTER
ARSC’s are independent, non-profit organizations led and governed by people in recovery. While each organization may have a mission that addresses the particular needs and concerns of its local community, all focus on the following core purposes.
RECOVERY MESSAGING
At Grit and Grace, when it comes to recovery messaging we believe strongly in two things;
- Recovery language plays a huge role in erasing stigma and empowering people with lived experience so it is of utmost importance to use positive recovery based language.
- As people in long term recovery we also understand that importance of living our recovery out loud…so loud that the message reaches people that we may not physically come into contact with. For that reason, we started a recovery radio show and podcast to reach people wherever they are!
ADVOCACY
As people in long term recovery with lived experience with multiple life challenges, we believe in being informed and involved in decisions being made on our behalf. We actively participate in movements such as Addiction Recovery Awareness Day and Mental Health Day at the State Capitol to ensure our voices are heard.
PEER SUPPORT
At Grit and Grace 100% of our staff are Certified Peer Specialists and available to provide person-centered group peer support as well as individual peer support.
INCLUSION
Grit and Grace is a place that embraces and includes multiple pathways to recovery. All races, ethnicities and lifestyles are accepted. We take pride in providing a safe, judgement free zone for everyone to come as they are to explore recovery together as a community family.
